Mental Health Awareness Week

I thought with mental health being in the spotlight this week, it was a good time to be open and honest with you all.  Self care and mental health is something close to my heart.  I want you all to know that you can't run on empty.  You need to look after yourself to be able to function.  I want to be able to help you all with creating moments of calm to practice your self care.

Too often we get sucked in to the 'perfect' lives we see being lived online.  It has a negative effect on your mental health and makes you feel like how you're living isn't good enough.

This week my pain has been bad.  It has totally kicked my arse.  I came onto instagram to update you all earlier this week and the response I've had from those stories has been immense.  So many of you sliding into my dm's to thank me for basically being me.  Showing you all that what is happening behind the scene's is far from perfect.

From being sucked in to online perfect lives myself, I know all too well how quickly you can rip your own life to shreds which ultimately makes you feel worse.

Remember that to you and yours, the life you're living is perfect.  It is perfect for you.  Try to focus on all the good you have.  Try not to focus on what you don't have.  That's the best advice I can give.

The pic you see above is the print I created for the monthly sub boxes.  I wanted to create a little print that would benefit your self care.  A little reminder to yourself when you're having 'one of those days'.

A few of you have asked for these to be released on the website.  Once I get my printer to stop being a dick I'll get these loaded onto the website.

 

Anyway, I'm away to get ready for my nights.  Hopefully this helps someone out there!
